fernanda fragateiro

Born in Montijo, in 1962. Lives and works in Lisbon.

With a many-sided work, Fernanda Fragateiro explores space in its various meanings and phenomenological manifestations, whether architectural, sculptural, private or public, social or temporal. Her work modifies and reconfigures space through objects and urban or landscape interventions, changing space and its perception and meaning. Varying in scale and in the used media, the artist's work has maintained a distinctive style, born out of a minimalist aesthetic of form, color and texture.
